
Katarina Pies
Katarína is an experienced people and shared services leader who currently oversees the core company’s functions, including HR, HSE, Integrated Management Systems (IMS), ESG & Public Grants, IT & ERP business systems, Indirect Procurement, and General Services. She is also actively involved in the EduBat initiative as Leader for Universities and Vocational Education.
She is a seasoned HR professional with over 15 years of experience in human resources, leadership, and business operations. Throughout her career, Katarína has held senior roles with full responsibility for HR and for leading subsidiary companies, including accountability for day-to-day business operations such as finance, stakeholder management, and public affairs—particularly in the transportation industry and in manufacturing within the construction sector, supporting complex, operationally driven organizations.
Katarína has successfully managed a wide range of HR initiatives and projects in dynamic environments, combining a hands-on approach with a strong understanding of both people and business needs.
Katarína holds a Master’s degree from the University of Economics in Bratislava, Faculty of Business Management, with a specialization in Personnel Management.
