Steven Cai

Steven Cai is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the field of power energy and engineering. As the Senior Vice President at Gotion High-Tech Power Energy Co., Ltd, he has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth and success since August 2016 and worked with all major OEM’s both in China and Globally on battery cell/pack design and integration. Deep understanding on battery cell/pack design and cost structure, familiar with battery supply chain.
Prior to his current role, Steven served as the Engineering Technology Director at Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited from April 2012 to August 2016. His leadership and expertise significantly contributed to the technological advancements of the organization.
With a global perspective, Steven worked with the General Motors Corporation of the United States as the Powertrain Manager from July 2008 to March 2012. In this role, he played a key part in managing powertrain operations, showcasing his proficiency in the automotive industry.
Steven’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Beijing University of Business and Technology (1980-1984) and a Master’s degree in Automation Engineering from Wayne University in the United States (1989-1991). His academic foundation coupled with his professional journey reflects a commitment to excellence in the field of industrial and automation engineering.
